How to let friends comment on photos in a shared album

Half the fun is talking about the photos. Here’s how to keep the comments next to the pictures.

  • Friends comment right under each photo.

STEP 1

Turn on Allow comments

In the Room’s Settings, under Guest permissions, switch on Allow comments. Every photo gets its own comments.

STEP 2

Comment under the photo

Open a photo and write. Reading is open to everyone in the Room, writing needs a free account, so every comment has a name on it.

STEP 3

See the replies

When someone replies to your comment, you get a notification that takes you straight back to that photo.

Questions

Do guests need an account to read comments?

No. Anyone in the Room can read them. Writing one needs a free account.

Can I turn comments off later?

Yes. Switch Allow comments off in the Room’s settings at any time.

Do comments change the photo?

No. The photo stays the original file. Comments sit next to it.
