How to limit which files people can upload to your album

You asked for photos and got a 4 GB screen recording. Here’s how to set the rules before people upload.

In short
  • Choose the allowed file types.
  • Set a maximum file size.
  • Everything else is refused.
STEP 1

Pick the file types

In the Room’s Settings, open File types and choose what’s allowed, for example only .jpg, .heic and .mp4. The default is any type.

STEP 2

Set a maximum file size

Open Max file size and set a limit that fits. Short phone videos need far less than a long recording from a camera.

STEP 3

The rest stays out

A file of another type, or over the size limit, is refused. It never lands in your Room.
