School event photos,
collected with care.
The school play, the sports day, the class trip. Parents took the photos; one organiser collects them. A private Room lets families upload in original quality while you decide who sees what.
Parents do not need an account or an app. You choose whether they can see the gallery.
Photos of children should not be scattered across group chats.
After a school play or sports day, photos start flying around the class group chat. Some parents post, some do not, and pictures of other people’s children end up on dozens of phones without anyone choosing that.
The organiser who wants to put together a proper collection, for the class, the school newsletter or an end-of-year gift, has to gather everything by hand.
A school event Room gives parents one place to upload, and gives you the controls. Set it to upload only so families add their photos without seeing each other’s, add a PIN, and turn on approval. Then share a selection with the class when you are ready.
How it works for a school event
Create a private Room
Add a first photo and the Room is ready. In Settings, choose upload only, add a PIN and turn on upload approval.
Share it with the class only
Post the link and the PIN in the parents’ group, not on public social media. Parents upload straight from their phones.
Review, then share
Approve or remove each file, download the collection, and share only what the families and the school are happy with.
- Upload only: parents cannot browse the gallery
- PIN and upload approval
- Files deleted when the Room expires
Privacy you can explain to other parents
Upload only
Families add their photos and videos, but only you, the organiser, can see the full collection.
PIN and approval
A forwarded link is not enough without the PIN, and nothing new becomes visible to others until you approve it.
Temporary by design
When the Room expires, its files are deleted. Photos of the children do not stay online longer than you need.
Good to know
- Is it safe to collect photos of children this way?
- It is as private as you set it up. Only people with the link can reach a Room. Share it only with the families involved, add a PIN, choose upload only and turn on upload approval. Check your school’s photo policy first and follow it.
- Can parents see each other’s photos?
- Only if you allow it. In upload only mode, parents can add files but cannot browse the gallery. You can switch the Room to upload and download later, once you have reviewed the photos.
- Do parents need an account or an app?
- No. The Room opens in the phone’s browser on iPhone and Android, and parents upload without creating an account. Only the organiser needs an account.
- Can I remove a photo if a family asks?
- Yes. The Room owner can delete any file at any time.
- What about location data in photos?
- A Room keeps files exactly as uploaded, including the date and, if the phone recorded it, the location. That is useful for sorting, but worth keeping in mind before sharing photos further.
- How long does the Room stay open?
- A free Room stays available for up to 3 days. Plus Rooms can stay open for up to 30 days, which suits a week-long trip. Download what you need before it expires, because the files are deleted then.
